What does it mean to love where you work?
At Cerna Home Care we continually ask this question. We believe that loving where you work is not about being the right person for the job, it is about where you work creating a culture of support and appreciation for the people we are lucky enough have as employees.
We believe the people who work for Cerna Home Care are our greatest advocates for what we do, what we create and what we stand for. We believe WE need to create the environment that supports the talents our team members bring to work every day. We try to create a community of people who feel valued and appreciated, simply knowing what they are doing is important. Marc Friedman, president of Cerna Home Care stated, ‘our employees have to love Cerna in order for our clients to love Cerna’. That passion and dedication carries through to our clients. We come in when our clients and their families are struggling. We care for our clients as if they were our own families, and that starts with people loving where they work. Our field staff is the face and the heart of this company. Our support staff is here to help the field staff give our families the heart they deserve. Our business is people, our priority is to give our team a reason to love where they work.
Perhaps it’s an Uber ride to work if they don’t have transportation, maybe it’s providing lunch when our team picks up their checks at the office, maybe it’s that our Senior Exectutives Marc Friedman and Nick Payzant are always available to all of our employees. It is a lot of things, but mostly it is making sure the people who make up Cerna Home Care feel and understand that we do not exist without them.
